                   A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE TEMPORARY
                   CLOSING OF CERTAIN STREETS IN THE DOWNTOWN
                   AREA, MORE PARTICULARLY DESCRIBED HEREIN, ON
                   SATURDAY, FEBRUARY 15, 1992, FROM 8:00 A.M.
                   TO 10:00 A.M. FOR THE PRESENTATION OF THE
                   "8TH ANNUAL YMCA INTERNATIONAL RUN"
                   SPONSORED BY THE YOUNG MEN'S CHRISTIAN
                   ASSOCIATION OF METROPOLITAN CHATTANOOGA
                   UNDER CERTAIN CONDITIONS DESCRIBED HEREIN.

       	    	 BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
       CHATTANOOGA, TENNESSEE, That there be and is hereby authorized 
the
       temporary closing of Gateway Avenue and 6th Street between M. L.
       King Boulevard and Market Street, the temporary closing of the
       southbound curblane of Market Street between 6th Street and 20th
       Street, the temporary closing of the westbound curblane of 20th
       Street between Market Street and Riverfront Parkway, the 
temporary
       closing of the northbound and eastbound curblane of Riverfront
       Parkway between 20th Street and Chestnut Street, the temporary
       closing of the southbound curblane of Chestnut Street between
       Riverfront Parkway and 2nd Street, the temporary closing of the
       eastbound lanes of 2nd Street between Chestnut Street and Market
       Street, the temporary closing of the southbound curblane of 
Market
       Street between 2nd Street and 8th Street, the temporary closing 
of
       the north curblane of 8th Street between Market Street and Pine
       Street, and the temporary closing of Pine Street between M. L.
       King Boulevard and 6th Street on Saturday, February 15, 1992 from 

       8:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. for the presentation of the "8th Annual
       YMCA International Run" under the sponsorship of the Young Men's
       Christian Association of Metropolitan, Chattanooga, provided that 

       the sponsor shall set out and pick up flasher barricades, traffic 

       cones, road closed and detour signs in accordance with the
       attached traffic control plan, and provide at all times, an 
access
       lane for emergency vehicles.
